With an aging demographic and out-of-date identity, Canmore Folk Festival reached out to Public Eye to reimagine an inclusive yet future-focused look that embraced the existing patrons but allowed for a new definition of a folk music festival.
With an idyllic mountain town setting and a progressive take on the genre, we developed the identity with a typographic and icon system inspired by wood-carved trail signs, and paired it with a graphic take on specific local mountain landmarks. The colour is derived from hi-vis outdoor gear beloved by the locals. The tone of the brand feels exploratory and dynamic while feeling in line with the crisp mountain air.
